Liam Reed Newman, a senior at Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, was killed in a crash near Hog Hollow Road and Rt. 513 in Alexandria Township around 5:30 a.m., DailyVoice.com reported.
Born in Allentown, PA, Newman lived in Flemington before settling in Frenchtown in 2017, his obituary says.
Newman was a skilled student-athlete and member of the wrestling and lacrosse teams, according to a GoFundMe launched for his family’s funeral expenses.
“Liam was a great son, brother, teammate, and friend to all,” reads the fundraiser, which had surpassed $61,000 in donations as of Tuesday afternoon.
“Liam will be sorely missed by all who knew him.”
Newman leaves behind his loving mother, Jennifer L. (Ash) Shore and her partner, Arthur Jablonski; his father, Steven Newman; his maternal grandparents, Philip and Lois Ash; his paternal grandparents, William and Rose Mary Newman; a brother, Evan Newman; two sisters, Alexandra Shore and Daniella “Dani” Newman; an aunt, Suzanne Newman; an uncle, Lawrence Newman; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

Newman’s visitation will be held at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home on Church Road in Holland Township from 4 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 6. Masks are mandatory and social distancing will be strictly enforced.
